International Steel Group Inc. (ISG) is an integrated United States-based steel manufacturing company that owns and operates 11 major steel producing and finishing facilities in six states. The Company was formed by WL Ross & Co. LLC (WLR) to acquire and operate globally competitive steel facilities. Since its formation, ISG has grown to become an integrated steel producer in North America by acquiring, out of bankruptcy, the steelmaking assets of LTV, Acme Steel Corporation and Bethlehem Steel Corporation. The Company has the capacity to cast more than 18 million tons of steel products annually and it ships a variety of steel products from its steel producing and finishing facilities in six states.
